About Me

Hello, there!

My name is Dilyan Rusev. I like writing software, playing computer and board games, hiking, and brewing my own beer.

Currently, I work at my own company, Nimero,
that my friends, my brother, his wife and I founded in 2009. I used to work at Telerik (now Progress) on Sitefinity. Also, I’ve done consulting work for Microsoft, ERP.bg and Darkium.

Over the years, I’ve created Envision, Jumpido, Classbuddy, and a retired Android app based on Jumpido. There was a brief period when I was doing a port of Jumpido for XBox One via ID@XBox.

When the weather allows it, I love hiking. Back in 2018 I ccomplished a dream of mine: I completed the Kom-Emine through-hike.

Back in 2014/2015 I started brewing my own beer (and mead!). To my surprise, my goofy hobby turned out to become trendy and now there is a loud minority that likes to drink craft beer. Go figure!

Sometimes I would explore programming itches, such as
global hotkeys, raw input (e.g supporting multiple mice/keyboards),
or screenshot only of the monitor where the mouse is as image. A very limited subset of those experiments is open-source.

Although I do a lot of web development, what I enjoy the most is bare-bones programming, such as Handmade Hero, a minimalist C program without the runtime library or watching a guy program
hello win32 in assembly.
